Avoid Health Destroying Snacks

What snack doabout it or do you just grab the easiest thing available and think that a candy bar or doughnut is going to lift you up with the energy that you need; when the body needs some extra energy between three to five in the afternoon.  Do you eat too much junk food?

Doughnuts - The high sugar level of doughnuts will end in a midday crash.  They are also high in transfats and refined flour - high in calories.  Does the grease give anyone indigestion - this is what happens to me. I do not have to think twice about avoiding this awful food. Why would I want to put something so bad into my body.  You can substitute a piece of whole grain bread with peanut butter and jelly.

Softdrinks -  I have always thought that there should be a law against making and foisting this junk on the public.  There is absolutely no nutrtional value to soda - whether diet or regular.  If there is a tax on these drinks in the state of New York, they should tax both.  Try some sparkling water and fruit juice.  Drink a tasty tea or have a refreshing glass of water.

French Fries -  Any fried food should be avoided .  Fried foods contain altered fats that are not good for the body and your health.   Take finger foods (vegetables)  Anything but the fried stuff.

Instant Soup _  these soups are very high in sodium and offer very little in nutrion. A better choice would be to have a low-sodium with part whole wheat and buckwheat noodles such as Japanese soba or udon.  Make a pot of soup and put it in easy take along containers - freeze it if you it won't last the working week and microwave at work.
