The Liver

The liver is the major organ of detoxification and it can determine the health of the body.
The liver is a processing plant and storage organ for wastes, pollutants, and many
nutrients.  Eating the foods in the sad American diet, drinking, smoking all can stress
the liver and weaken its function.  This can also involve the gall bladder - we can produce
solid particles from bile components which result in gallstones.

It is fairly simple to cleanse the liver and gall bladder to keep things flowing freely.  As a
result, one feels renewed energy and health.

Some suggestions are:

-  Green drinks that are rich in vitamins, minerals.  This can be made from sprouts,
green vegetables, all the leafy ones plus cabbage, peppers, celery.  Drink 2 eight
ounce glasses per day for at least a week.

-  Lemon juice is also used as a cleansing agent.  A glass of water with at least 2 tbl
of lemon juice first  thing in the morning is recommended by many doctors.

-  Carrot juice, high in Vitamin A stimulates the flow of bile.

-  Apple juice, fresh cider is high in malice acid, pectins and enzymes that act as a
   bile solvent and liver stimulant.
