Omega - 3's are good fats. They can reduce the risk of heart attack, arthritis, depression,
muscle soreness and some cancers.
Some inexpensive way to get these essential fatty acids in your diet:
Buy canned Sock-eye salmon.
Canned sardines
Walnuts - have protective fats that promote cardiovascular health.
Freshly ground flaxseed
Good quality omega- 3 supplement nourishes the nervous system
Other foods with omega- 3 are virgin olive oil, nuts, avocado and olives.
The saturated fats hinder the protective function of the heart and raises the
risk of dementia. Avoid butter, lard, whole milk products, full fat cheese,
ice cream.
The transfats in fast food, commercial baked goods, cookies, donuts, muffins
and pies really gum up the works.
